The New Mexico Hip Hop Awards mission is to ensure that artists receive an accurate portrayal of the depth and complexity of Hip Hop as a culture and get the support they deserve now instead of waiting for Mainstream America to knock on their doors. Our Awards Show, media coverage, and website content will be representative of our vision: to be the ultimate voice for New Mexico Hip Hop culture into the mainstream; keeping in mind that we all have history. As New Mexico Hip-hop continues to grow as a culture, our Awards Show will grow with it. In the tradition of New Mexico Hip Hop’s legacy, we wanted to ensure that The New Mexico Hip Hop Awards brand embodied its innovative spirit. . Emceeing, Rapping, DJing, R&B, & Reggaeton are all part of our New Mexico culture. It is a culture that is naturally inclusive of any race or background. If you are being true to yourself and keeping it 100 percent genuine with Hip-hop, then The New Mexico Hip Hop Awards will embrace you. Now even larger than before we have taken things up a notch. Starting with our revamped website, more categories, more incentives, sponsors, and larger than life promotions. Having reached over 200+ music artists in every city and town in New Mexico we now officially cater to 80% of all music artists. To ensure we reach those artists this year we also incorporated District Reps in most major cities in New Mexico. They are in charge of getting artists to participate in this beneficial awards show.The NM HIP HOP Awards, Formerly NM Music Awards Underground is dedicated to helping Underground Artists We provide the tools needed to succeed in today's music industry and give deserving artists recognition for their accomplishments. The 2011 New Mexico Hip Hop Awards is now in its planning stages for this years Red Carpet Event. Tons of artists and celebrities will gather this year at the Albuquerque Journal Theartre and enjoy a night full of performances and award recognitions. Now taking artist nominations here at www.nmmusicawards.com . We added more categories this year so get in early to get more exposure.
